Why is it that babies smell so good? If you haven’t been around any babies lately, newborns (and babies in general) seem to have a certain smell; it’s relaxing and soft and makes you just want to breath it in deep. But, anyone that has had a newborn knows, you can’t use anything on their skin right away and most are designed to be fragrance free to their delicate skin. So the mystery remains, why do babies smell so sweet? MY GO-TO BABY DETERGENT
One of my favorite things in the world is putting on clothing right out of our dryer. Warm, soft and that right of the dryer smell is just “ahhh.” I don’t particularly enjoy doing laundry (the worst part for me is folding and putting away…ugh!), but the smell of fresh laundry is the one perk, so when we were first washing Penelope’s clothes upon her arrival (pre-washing baby clothes is a must!), I kind of missed that “ahh” smell since baby detergent is designed to be fragrance free, sensitive on skin, etc. (aka, boring).
