These pictures were taken when we were waiting for the s…l…o..w elevator in Niagara. The soon-to-be Mr. and myself still feel a little odd taking pictures in public places (I am not photogenic!), so when another couple walked around the corner to wait for the elevator, the soon-to-be snapped some pictures of the pictures on the wall to look nonchalant. I think we would have looked more “normal” taking pictures of my outfit than dated art work on the walls…but hey, that’s just me. We got a “you guys are weirdos” look from the people and politely stated we would wait for the next elevator.

See what I mean? I love it just as much as I love the soon-to-be for helping and supporting me on this blog adventure. Plus, I find the more pictures we take, the more fun the two of us have and the more comfortable we feel in a “let people stare at us, kind of way”

I picked this dress up at Marshall’s for super cheap and wanted to pair the vest with it to look a little more casual. However, once I realized we would be dining in the Casino’s steakhouse, I simply slipped the jean vest back off and wah-la, one dress worn two ways!
What do you think of the lace combo? I debated on the jean vest trend for some time, but finally bit the bullet and got one. What do you think- chic or redneck?
Tomorrow Ill be showing you how to take the side flip hairstyle from last week and turn it into a simple updo!

    Love it!! I love pairing pieces that have a slightly different vibe to them – I think you look feminine and chic! I have seen so many great outfits with a denim vest… I may have to get one myself!

    I love the combo. I've been looking for a denim vest and lace dress for a few weeks now. I have to check out Marshall's. I am the same way about taking outfit photos. I rush outside my apartment and force the boyfriend to snap a few pics and then run back in. A few neighbors have caught me and always give me a weird look.

    In regards to the denim vest: I love it paired with white lace. It's one of those awkward nineties things that has made a comeback to being unconventional chic.
