Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins

“Part” of me

July 10, 2012

Yesterday when I was blow drying my hair I started playing around with my part. For the last… (I don’t even remember) years, I have parted my hair to the side– I’ve had bangs with a side part and currently my bangs are grown out but I still rock the side part. Way back when my mom used to fix my hair, I had a down the middle part. I remember working so hard to “train” my hair to go into a side part (and by working I mean blow drying it into a side part night after night- I despise blow drying my hair), but lately I am loving the down the middle look. I think both looks can be classy and fun, but to me, a side part is always a little more playful and shy than a straight down the middle look. You can swoop some hair near your eyes and instantly create a little mystery. However, on the flip side, a straight down the middle part puts your whole face out there and shouts “look at me, I’m brave and have nothing to hide!”

Here are a few of my favorite side and middle parts: (All photos from Pinterest)

Love her deep swoop of her bangs, also just love me some Emma!
Deep swoop without bangs, doesn’t she look like she has something to hide?

Classic middle part for a lady with no flaws to hide!
Love her hair, her totally ripped body and also her fiancee JT…some girls have all the luck. 🙂

Which ladies hair do you envy? Like I said, I am completely digging the middle part on the last two ladies, however, yesterday when I parted my hair down the middle it took me back to my popcorn bow wearing, kissin’ boys on the playground days. Maybe I just need to toughen up and go for it! Are you able to switch up your part or are you content with what you sport on a daily basis?

Stay tuned tomorrow for a hair style tutorial!

I am trying to grow out my bangs right now and I am in the in between stage and I hate them! I really got to figure out how to style them now! But I really like Emma's hair the best, it's really sweet!

I know the exact length you're talking about! I will be posting some bang hairstyles in the next week or so to help tolerate them as they grow! Check back!
