From time to time, I plan on giving you some updates on my wedding planning. I mentioned in yesterday’s post that three of my bridesmaids had gotten together to start the planning process for my Bachelorette Party. We are packing up our cowgirl boots and buttless chaps (not really) and heading to Nashville over Labor Day weekend! I cannot tell you how excited I am! For the first night, we plan to just go out and dress in typical Bachelorette attire, but the next next we are dressing in 1920’s themed outfits! Ever since I saw the trailer for The Great Gatsby remake, I have been loving the 20’s inspired outifts I’ve seen floating around the internet. In addition, that book was always one of my favorites back in High School, so I am beyond excited to dress up with my best friends for the occasion.
I created a small inspiration board to give my bridal party an idea of what type of outfits to keep an eye out for and I wanted to share with all of you!
::sigh:: I wish I could have grown up in this era, it seems so fun and glamourous! |
Have you ever been to a themed Bachelorette party? Or maybe just a themed party in general? I’ve seen golf and tennis themed ones, which I also love, but something about the “Roaring 20’s” just make my heart Roar with delight. :)
Im taking tomorrow off to enjoy some R&R (and be in a car for 4 hours), but I have a great post for Copy Cat Monday, so make sure you come check it out!
P.S. In case you’ve missed the ever dreamy Leo as Jay Gatsby.

I attended a themed bachelorette party this past spring and it was refreshing to have a bachelorette party without the male anatomy making an appearance all over the party. The theme was golf (playing off of My best friend's wedding I think), which allowed everyone to use items already in their wardrobe instead of purchasing a new outfit. I love the Roaring 20's theme! I know you will have a great time with it!!

Thanks liz- I hope the board helped the girls glimpse a little into some ideas! I think some pretty typical stuff could be changed up to work!
