Friday’s Top Five…

August 31, 2012

…Bachelorette Party Ideas!

In lieu of leaving for my bachelorette party tonight (yay!), I decided it would be fun to explore some super fun bachelorette options! I am aware many of you are already married, but what if you could re-do your BIG night on the town? Would you change anything?

Now, I know that not everyone wants to go out and party for their bachelorette, I have been to all different types of bachelorette shin-digs and have always had a BLAST at every single one. So, let’s explore some fun options!

#1.The Laid Back

If its bachelorette time, it also means the bride is probably driving you crazy or going crazy herself. What’s better than taking the day (or weekend), to rewind at a spa and rejuvenate yourselves? The day can be filled with pedicures, manicures, yoga and massages. Take the day to unwind with some of your closest friends and the bride-to-be!

#2. The Crafty

Maybe everyone is lacking in the fund$ department: gather a few of the best bridal movies out there (Sweet Home Alabama, Father of the Bride I&II, BrideWars, etc), a bottle of your favorite bubbly, some snacks and some crafts! Chances are, your bride needs help tying up some lose ends before her big day! As the bridal party and her closest friends, plan the evening to relieve some stress for her and spend the evening prepping for the big day!

#3.  The Naughty

Strippers, sex toys, lingerie. I think we’re done here.

#4. The Slumber Party

Sleeping bags, check. Unhealthy snacks, check! Cute Pj’s, check! Karaoke machine, check, check! Seriously, while JT keeps bringing sexy back, gather your ladies and bring the adult slumber party back. What could be more fun that a night filled with your best ladies, guilty pleasure chick-flicks and the belly hurts from laughing so hard?Anyone see Princess Diaries II (yea, guilty) that mattress surfing thing looks amazing.

#5. The Getaway
Seriously, what is better than spending the night with all of your best friends? I know! I know! Spending the ENTIRE weekend with those ladies! Destination bachelorette parties are such blasts and the locations are endless: New York, Vegas, Miami, Chicago, annnnnnd Nashville where I will be spending the weekend with some of my favorite ladies of.all.time! Spend the weekend boozing, dancing, laughing and eating terribly fried food- its tradition, right?!?! Just make sure one of your bridesmaids doesn’t end up like this:

No matter what you do, just remember to have fun! It’s your time to *shine*
What did everyone do/or plan to do for your last night out as a single lady? Anyone wish they could go back and do it all again? Would you change it or keep it the same?

The photo from Bridesmaids cracks me up! That movie was hilarious. We went to Put-in-Bay for my bachelorette party and it was a blast! I don't think I would change a thing and my hubby and I just celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a great time at your bachelorette party! Heather

My last day as a single woman was spent with my friends and family at a BBQ on our deck in our backyard. It was the perfect way to spend it!

I'm thinking for my bachelorette party I want to have a relaxing spa day or a weekend getaway! Hopefully to somewhere relaxing but also somewhere where we can have a fun night out! But considering I'm not even engaged…I can figure out the details later ha ha. Have an amazing bachelorette party in Nashville! One of my favorite cities ๐Ÿ™‚

I didn't really have a bachelorette party. My bridesmaids and I went to a restaurant for some drinks. And my Matron of Honor took along her 1 year old! haha…so we couldn't get too crazy. A spa day would be my ideal for a bachelorette party!
    Have fun!

I did the slumber party version! We all stayed at this amazing hotel where the room was apartment style with 3 bedrooms and a kitchen! We went to an amazing greek restaurant where we learned to belly dance and throw napkins in the air while shouting OPA! Then we came back, got in our jammies, ate junk food, and watched Bridesmaids ๐Ÿ™‚ Great night!

I think getaways + laid back ones are awesome! My guy friends has a bachelor party and they actually did totally opposite of what many men do for their bachlor party – they went on a hike and camped for two days! They loved it, a few days to relax and hang out – I think that's exactly what I'd want!
