My first wedding shower was everything I would have hoped for and more. It was hosted at my aunt Paulette’s beautiful home by herself and my older sister. From the decor to the little details, they truly made sure it reflected my personality and I seriously was humbled by every one’s love and generosity. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day.

It was blazing hot, so by the end of the day we were a bit shiny (note last photo); but my sister did a great job with balancing activities between inside and out. The decor was simple and cute to go along with my aunt’s beautiful home. They made a banner to hang above the fireplace, had matching colors in tissue poms, napkins, etc. But the cutest thing was the small little dessert bar that had the most adorable cupcakes and a fruit pizza station, they had even made little chalk board signs for labeling. In addition, they had little mason jar desserts which were ahhmazing…heaven in a jar people. Everything from the food, to the sangria was wonderful and I truly felt blessed and honored that the two hostesses took the time to make my day so special.
Having all of my bridesmaids and the readers for the wedding there was also such such a nice gesture. Many of them traveled for over an hour to be there and I really appreciated it. The soon-to-be and I received so many lovely items both on and off of our registry. It was an amazing day and I am already looking forward to the next shower in November! Hopefully I can keep my eyes a little dryer at that one!

    I had 3 showers (family, friends, and church). One thing I remember the most was a gift from my old boss. She bought me this red Crockpot off my registry, but she stuffed it with lingerie! She put a note with it about "Doing some slow cooking…" My face was SO red! But she got a lot of compliments for her creativity. I hope to use the idea some day.

    It sure was a great shower! And so much fun! I loved all the games and your gifts were pretty amazing too! So glad I got to spend the day with you and the rest of the bridal party~! You picked some awesome friends to celebrate your big day with!

    My favorite part of my two showers before marrying that hot Red Head of mine, would have to be playing the game of guessing the answers to questions about myself that I thought Jesse would answer. Then when I got through guessing what his answers would be, my cousin put in a DVD of my hubby with him answering the questions on video! It was such a great and hilarious memory! I watch it from time to time still!
