White Out

Have you seen some of the awesome posts going around about how to wear white after Labor Day? Here’s an example from Tara at Mix and Match Fashion (here) linking up with some other fab. ladies to show you how to not look like an idiot. Me, on the other hand, I haven’t quite experimented with it yet (get with the program Amy!), so that’s why I’m pumping this white dress post out before Monday.

Is this a White Goose??!!??
 I actually wore this dress about two weekends ago (really far away from Labor Day in blogging land) while visiting that handsome guy I like to call Mr. soon to be Coffee Beans. We had the BEST.DAY. You know those perfect days that only happen in movies? Somehow that day happened to us. We slept in (already a winner), got Starbucks (that guys knows the way to my heart fo’ sho’), walked around a park, saw some awesome art work at the Cleveland Museum of Art, went to a Yummy Jewish deli, got gelato and then sadly said our goodbyes. Driving home I was wishing I could just hit the rewind and play it all over again. It was that good.  In addition, this dress has small cutouts and fiance kept saying “do you know I CAN SEE YOUR SKIN?!?” HA!
What does everyone think about the Labor Day white rule? Im actually all against it as long as its done right (refer to link above, those ladies got skillz). #imsogangsta
Art museums? Do or don’t?

    Ha, I love your fiance's reaction to the dress. I feel like that's exactly what my boyfriend would say. I'm going to keep wearing white after Labor Day for as long as it still feels like summer – rules were meant to be broken, right?

    I am a big fan of breaking rules! Especially in the US when you are a bit more likely to get a good day in September than here in rainy Ireland! And with such a gorgeous dress like that, of course you must wear it. Looking lovely today, Avril x

    This dress is great on you.

    I'm totally against the white after Labor Day as long as you wear it right. A navy sweater, white jeans, and brown riding boots = perfection!

    I love that you and your (soon to be) Mr. went to the art museum! I have done that a few times with my mans, its so fun!

    I love the silhouette of the dress on you; it flatters in all the right areas.

    Who invented this BS rule anyway? White works in any season and for every occasion (except, maybe, as a guest at a wedding). Besides, due to the cyclical nature of time every day is after Labor Day.

    Thanks for your comment! Boys are so entertaining when they make comments about girls' clothes. I once wore a red and white striped dress and my boyfriend said "Found ya, Waldo!" What would we do without the humor?! Have a great labor day weekend!
