Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins

Railing=tripod?

September 13, 2012

It was 80 degrees today in Ohio, so I don’t feel as pressured to pump out the remainder of my summer outfits- I’ll let the weather tell me when to stop. Well, or you guys, you all are kind of like the sun, if you stop reading and commenting, I’d be sad and probably just sit in the dark.
I actually used the railing on a porch as my tripod to take these pictures. Preeettty talented…besides every photo being blurry-sorry (someone tell my fiance to come home!) Ha, Ill just let you ponder how many photos were taken without me actually being in them…..#bloggerproblems?

::Maxi TJMaxx (similar here), Top Nordstrom, Hat Target, Jewelry Fossil Vintage from gma David Yurman::

This Maxi was an impulse buy from TJMaxx at the beginning of summer. I never thought a short person could wear a maxi, but after trying it out this summer (living on the edge), I am in love with all things Maxi. I scored it for practically nothing and it has become such a staple because its super comfy and goes with almost anything. I am looking forward to fall and remixing it with a big comfy sweater.
What is the one spring/summer item in your closet you’re looking forward to remixing for Fall?

    Keep going with the summer looks as long as its warm enough for it! I'm pretty sure Ohio weather is similar to Pittsburgh's and the long winter will be here before we know it! Great wardrobe staple in the maxi too, I also have a black maxi and should wear it more. Thanks for the idea of wearing it with a sweater for fall.

    The Ohio weather drives me crazy this time of year. Could be 50 or 80 or both the same day :0) Love your outfit! Very cute!

    I bought a small tripod that you can wrap around tree limbs or porch railings or just sit on a table. It's small enough to even carry in my purse if I think I may need it. About $20 at Best Buy and well worth the money. You should pick up one of those. I'm sure you would love it.

    When I first decided to start posting outfits on my blog, I tried to take the photos with a tripod and failed miserably. All of my pictures were blurry or I didn't run to my position fast enough for the timer! God bless my boyfriend for stepping up to the plate and learning to take the photos for me! But you did a great job, and railings always make good tripods. I love the outfit – I am a fellow short girl and was also leery of maxis, but they actually work great on short girls too! My maxi skirt has become a total wardrobe staple.

    I have a few sun dresses which I wear year round, despite the freezing Missouri temps. In the fall, I pair them with tweed jackets or blazers. In the winter, I put on a sweater over them. In the spring, I pair them with a cardi. ๐Ÿ™‚
