Something’s Missing…

Ever get that feeling? That’s how I felt last Saturday night before we saw Wicked. I liked my dress, loved my shoes and was with a great group of girls, but for some reason every time I looked into the mirror something felt….off.
It wasn’t until after dinner and literally right before the show when I was in the restroom that I finally figured it out. While washing my hands, I reach up and touched my eyelashes, I had forgotten mascara! For me, this is the WORST! The rest of the night I felt horribly self-conscious about it and even walked ahead on the way to the show in case a drug store happened to come along and I could sneak in and purchase a tube. Sadly not one CVS on the street corners-I was destined to be a mascara-less monster for the rest of the night. Overreacting? Probably, to some, and continuing to talk about it probably annoyed some of the girls (sorry girls), but that is my item. You know, the go to, never leave home without it beauty product you HAVE to have or you’ll be so so sad…
For the rest of the night anything that went wrong was blamed on my lack of mascara.
The ice cream melted too fast in my dessert….damn missing mascara.
I almost tripped in a street crack, had to be that lack of mascara.
My girlfriend Betsy’s face being lost in the group photo….blame the mascara people!

    I never used to wear mascara when I was younger and then once I started to in college, I realized how I cannot go a day without it! I know the feeling all too well about forgetting to wear it- ugh. Those shoes are very cute!

    I love your dress!! You look gorgeous! I wouldn't have even noticed the lack of mascara. I know how you feel though. I forgot to put on my perfume yesterday morning, and I almsot turned around and walked back to my apartment, but I didn't want to miss the bus haha ๐Ÿ™‚

    Your dress is gorgeous and I love the bow detailing on your shoes! AND I completely understand your pain with the mascera. I've forgotten it before, too, and I seriously feel so uncomplete without it! I hope you had fun at Wicked, though!

    I'm 100% in agreement!! Mascara is a must, especially if you have light eyelashes. However, you can't tell from these photos, you look lovely and that dress is beautiful!

    Love your dress and you look amazing. Yes I totally know how you feel. For me its more I'm not happy in my outfit but I had no choice. That's the worst for me.

    You can't even tell you forgot mascara, if it makes you feel any better! I have the same panic moments though–and it's usually with mascara. That, or I forgot to pack my lip stain. That always induces a serious "what am I missing" moment!

    I love your dress and those shoes are just amazing. I never leave home without my mascara either. Although I'm pretty sure no one would be able to tell the difference!

    Side note: Wicked is pretty much my all time favorite musical! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Oh my gosh yes! I one day went all day long feeling weird, I even kept checking in the mirror to see what was wrong and then at about midnight I realized that I didn't put on mascara. That is a HUGE deal because that is all the makeup I wear, I felt so naked!

    Love this whole outfit. The dress and the shoes are perfection! Super cute! And I love that the whole night all the bad things that happened were blamed on the mascara! I definitely know how that goes!
