Four Eyes

I had been getting headaches pretty regularly during work and at home when I used a computer too much, so I visited the optometrist and two weeks later picked up these little gems.

When I first told fiance I was going to get RayBan frames he said “no, I hate those frames in glasses, you will look like a dork..” Naturally, I didn’t listen and picked them out anyway. However, the first time fiance saw me in them I got a “How you doin” that would even put Joey from Friends to shame. My headaches are minimal and fiance actually likes them…win win.

I wore this casual outfit to a welcome home party for a friend of ours that just came home from Afghanistan. I wanted to be comfy and warm since I knew we would be outside a lot and on our feet. I am looking forward to seeing how I can remix this top for fall though, I love the burnt orange detail and the gold buttons.
Do you wear glasses? Real or Fake? Every buy something even though a signifigant other told you not to?

    I've had some form of glasses or contacts since second grade. I used to hate wearing my glasses, but I finally picked up a cute pair that actually matches my style…the same Ray Ban pair as yours, actually! I think you look great 🙂

    I have to wear reading glasses as well, I'm actually super blind but need a negative prescription for the computer! It's crazy how much the screens wreak havoc on your eyes. Love your new frames!

    You look great in those! I recently bought similar frames for my reading glasses. Both my parents and boyfriend told me not to get them when I was trying them on (I looked like a hot mess). But once I was looking more like myself and was wearing them they loved them! We know ourselves better than anyone else.

    i have to wear glasses but i always wear my contacts. my glasses are only at night after i am tired and have taken my contacts out. glasses are for me in the comfort of my home. yours look super cute on you, maybe one day i will feel brave enough to wear mine out in public

    I love the glasses! As well as the rest of your outfit, you look beautiful! I wear glasses, but only for driving and reading the board at university. Therefore my glasses aren't anything special as they don't get much wear. I do however also own a pair of prescription Ray Ban sunglasses, same as yours but sunglasses. x

    Normally I would have agreed with your man, but these really do look cute on you! I used to wear contacts (and glasses on days that my eyes didn't like the contacts) but I had Lasik done about a year ago so no more 4 eyes for me! However, I loved the glasses I had bought the previous year, so I paid to have clear lenses put in them so I can still wear them. Crazy?! Probably, but they are a fun accessory!

    Love the outfit too! So glad to have troops coming home! I hope to attend a welcome home party for a good friend returning from Afghanistan as well in December or January!
