Safari Child

Remember those glitter shoes I bought that had fiance scratching his head? Imagine what this vest did to him. We went to  dinner with my soon-to-be in-laws the night these photos were being taken and fiance kept asking if I was sure I wasn’t going on safari instead of going to PF Changs. Honestly, it didn’t bother me one bit though- I know he kids and I definitely have a distaste for some of the clothing items he wears as well (tube socks while he studies…ewey).
On a more serious note though, I think its important to not love every.single.little.thing about one another or each other’s closet. If I got rid of every item the soon-to-be didn’t like, I would be conforming to his style, not my own. I think its important and 110% okay to have different likes, dislikes and interest whatever they may be.

    Honestly, there will always be some pieces that boys just don't understand (but I mean tube socks, he's just as bad! 😉 haha). I think you look great, and I love this vest! It would look super cute over a sweater when it gets cooler, too.

    I say YAY! Vest looks great. Sometimes guys just don't have a clue about clothes. Besides if you like it and feel great wearing it no one else´s opinion matters. Al though it can be discouraging when your significant other doesn't like what you are wearing-been there- but hey, like you said, you should always keep true to yourself and your style.

    You look great, love those shoes 🙂 My husband likes some of the stuff I wear and doesn't like other stuff I wear, but I don't mind. I dress for myself, as does he and that makes us both feel good. I think it's important to keep that and not conform to someone else. xx

    Adorable! And I completely agree – sometimes I ask for my husband's opinion – and then do the opposite cause it's what my gut told me. I think he appreciates that I have my own style and am confident in my fashion choices – so wear that safari vest with pride! 🙂

    So true! you can't be his picture perfect woman everyday, it's important to be your picture perfect self! My bf makes fun of my clothes too sometimes and I like to think that my quirky style is something he was attracted to in the first place!     I love vests! And you're so sweet that you take so much consideration into what your fiance thinks. Every time I take risks with my fashion, hubby always raises an eyebrow and will say something like "are you sure you wanna go out in that?" and I just shrug him off. I'm like most girls..I dress for other girls than for guys. haha

    I think you look great and love the vest! I have to laugh though because my husband says the same kinds of things. My favorite is when he tries to help me with blog titles and doesn't realize he's sorta insulting my outfit at the same time…umm, I never intend to look like the purple mcdonald's character but that was one of his suggestions…hmm… LOL 🙂
