The Gala and What My Mr. Wore

This past Saturday night was my work’s annual Gala fundraiser. I seriously love going because in a way it restores my faith in humanity a little bit. The amount of generosity that flows throughout the room warms my heart and I always leave feeling so thankful to have the opportunity to work for such a wonderful cause. It may not be my dream job, but filling the dreams of so many each day is such a great experience. Now, I would be lying if I didn’t also love going because I get to wear a pretty dress and see my Mr. all fancied up, because that is definitely fun too!

He may not have a face, but if you look closely, you know AIL are his initials which means my last name after 12-29 will start with an L! On another note, I spent about 25 minutes ironing this dress (I loathe ironing, if its wrinkled, I don’t wear it) and as soon as I walked downstairs I had about 90 wrinkles….ugh!

    i bet it was kind of neat to dress up and go to an even tfor work. your dress is downright STUNNING on you – the color and shoulder ruffle are just so perfect and fit you so well. your mister looks super snazzy too – i can't get my hubby to wear that kind of shoe

      By the way. Ironing is the one chore I hate doing the most and even if I iron something for a long time (like you did your dress for 25 minutes, it seems like it never comes out perfectly.

    You look fantastic! And I hate how dresses wrinkle so quickly, boo. I heard that putting a very slightly damp, warm towel on your lap helps but haven't tried it yet. 🙂
