and all through the house. Amy was dreaming up traditions and so was the mouse!
Every year for Christmas my family pretty much does the same thing. We open gifts Christmas morning as a family decked in our PJ’s and sleepy eyes. We then proceed to tear the living room apart with wrapping paper and ribbons causing a mountain of trash and loving every minute of it. After the gifts have been opened, we clean as a family and then put our Christmas best to prepare for the arrival of non-immediate family members. Once we have ate, opened more gifts and taken one million pictures, we blare Christmas music and play games into the wee hours of the night. It’s not exactly a set tradition, but it’s our families.
I often think about what traditions I will implement as a parent. I’ve always wanted one to be reading T’was the Night Before Christmas before bedtime. I simply love that book- just call me Clark Griswold.

My favorite tradition my family does is making a bunch of homemade Christmas decorations every year. This year we made bowtie pasta garlands! I hope to keep this tradition going for as long as I'm still going! ๐

My favorite tradition is very similar- the younger kids get to run out and play with the unwrapped Santa presents until my Dad wakes up, and we can then open the rest! Aw, I'm away from home this year and I will miss it so much.

Our family traditions are make your own pizza on Christmas Eve and then waking up super early on Christmas morning with the kids. We turn on the Christmas music, tear open presents, eat a big breakfast and then take a nap ๐ Merry Christmas to you and your family! Heather

I want to set a tradition where we always open Christmas PJ's on Christmas Eve and then proceed to where said PJ's on Christmas morning while opening presents. I love that fresh, sleepy, look that you can only pull off with your closest family. Something intimate and sweet about that.
Have a Merry Christmas!

That's so sweet, I was just thinking about this yesterday. We celebrate Christmas Eve and wait until midnight to open our presents and I definitely know this will be something I pass onto my own family someday…
Merry Christmas!

I love your family tradition, and the idea of reading the book to your future family! My sister and I always get to open 1 gift on Christmas Eve, which I think is a fun tradition. Its cool to think back at how the traditions have evolved over the years.
