Hey all, I’m a bad blogger. I didn’t have the energy to compose a Friday’s Top Five last night, so instead I closed my computer screen, put my phone behind my back and watched an entire 46 minutes of uninterrupted television with the hubs.
I wish it were spring like the next person. Especially on icy cold mornings like today when many of my teacher friends have snow days and I don’t (bummer). However, I stumbled upon this pin before unplugging last night and it made me smile because I often find myself wishing days away. So this morning, I put on a bright yellow pencil skirt, made myself and the hubs a green smoothie and walked out of the door with a big smile on my face. Im going to enjoy today, not only because it’s Friday, but because it’s life– another day to live and another day to be thankful for what we have. Im sure a better day will come along, but for today, well…it’s just fabulous!

great idea — I'll enjoy my day today too simply because it's life. Thanks for the reminder! xo

Ugh. We got a foot of snow dumped yesterday and all I want is spring!!!

Yes, I love this quote and how you made this morning your own! I'm sick of snow too – but it's a little fun while it lasts 🙂

P.S. You aren't a bad blogger, because at least you prepared this… I didn't get it together to do anything for today… Oh well.

This is such good advice. I often find myself saying, "I can't wait until…". It's nice to actually enjoy the now!

This is such a great reminder. I find myself wishing the days away, but I shouldn't. I know later down the road, I will have wished I savored these days!

This is so true and such a great quote! It is blizzard conditions this morning, bad driving… took me 40 minutes to get to work. But I knew this and instead of being sad about it, I'm in the best mood!
Happy Friday lady!

What a great post, for a few reasons. I love that you just decided you weren't going to do the high five post and that's ok. You spent time with someone you love instead which is wonderful. On that note, I also am happy you admitted it! And finally, thank you for sharing the pin, I feel the same way and have sort of posted about that today myself. I have been in a funk lately and just said enough is enough! I am gaining control back today and not sulking any longer. And enjoying every day for it has to offer.
xoxo

I need to be reminded of this a lot more, thank you!
I so often count down the days until the weekend and then dread Monday morning because I feel like I only do things I enjoy when it doesnt involve work or being tired after work.
I tihnk thats is one of the reasons why I started blogging so it would help me challenge myself to be more creative during my weekdays.
Thanks for the reminder!

Hi Amy, I'm a new GFC follower from the blog hop, and I am LOVING all of these hair tips! I can't wait to read more of your posts– I see a lot of things we have in common! My bf is a physician too (where is your hubby going to school?) and after my BA and MA, I still feel like I am trying to work out this whole career thing!
