Don’t worry, my credit cards aren’t maxed out- just my outfit. Because I’m short, I never thought I could pull off a maxi, but just like finding the perfect peplum (HERE) it just takes time. About two summers ago, I found that perfect maxi and ever since, I’ve been finding more and more. Sometimes it just takes a little hemming. 🙂 This Laydee Boutique maxi is no different. It’s material is so comfortable and flowy, making it the perfect spring or summer dress.

I wore this when we went apartment hunting in NC. It was still mildly chilly, so I threw on my jean jacket for a bit of warmth. That’s the great thing about jeans jackets, they seriously are so versatile- so if you don’t have one, treat yo self!

    It's somewhat hard for me to find a maxi dress that doesn't completely drown me without heels. I think this is sooo cute on you! Especially with that jacket!

    This maxi dress is so pretty on you! I love that since you're short you can wear wedges with it. If I wore wedges with my maxi dresses or skirts I'd look like I was preparing for a flood! Hahah. The jean jacket is always a great touch to a dress for spring also. You look great!

    I love maxis! I'm really tall though so sometimes I have a problem with them not being long enough…most of the time they fit perfectly, but I can definitely not wear heels with it 🙂

    Jean jacket yes, yes, yes! A staple in my wardrobe. I don't have a maxi, and not sure if I will get one. I'm short too, so it's nice to see you in one. Are you under 5'2" by chance. This is perfectly proportioned for you.

    I love maxis! I usually have the opposite problem, finding one that's long enough is tricky too. What I particularly love about maxis is how perplexing they are to men, like why would we want to cover up so much? Umm, because they're cute and comfy.

    I love maxis! I am short too so it is hard to find ones that aren't crazy long. I have, I think, 2 maxi dresses and 2 maxi skirts. One of the dresses was really suppose to be like ankle length, but it works as a maxi for me! Yours is super cute and the colors are great! And I have got to get me a new jean jacket!

    I love maxi dresses! The print on yours is so pretty! I find I have the opposite problem though, so many maxis are too short on me. But you're right, it just takes patience to find the right one 🙂
