Although peplum has been around for a bit now, up until recently I didn’t own any besides a jacket (seen here). Every single tank or tee I tried on simply did not work with me. I’m very hour glass shaped and I just felt like it wasn’t working with my body (which is ironic because peplum is supposed to accent that shape). Enter this Willow and Clay top and I can finally say I own a peplum tank that not only fits me, but one that I feel is flattering. My husband however, was still perplexed why I would wear something that accents my hips– I didn’t bother to explain, what’s the use, right?
Totally moving off the subject of peplum- right now Willow and Clay has some other adorable tops that really remind me of the roaring 20’s era. They are adorable and it’s making me even more antsy for the release of The Great Gatsby. It’s one of my favorite books ever and I plan on re-reading it during our plane ride to Paris in May. Random I know- I’ve watched the Trailer more times than I care to admit.

    I love that top! It's so airy and pretty, and so different from the rigid peplum I usually see! I only own a jacket right now for the same reasons, I still haven't found one that fits me right! I will have to try this one – I could see it being in my closet for a long time!

    I am exactly the same way with peplum tops – I still don't own one! My problem is they are usually pretty short and that does not look good on my tall frame. Maybe I'll give Willow and Clay a try!

    This outfit is so cute! I've had the same problem with peplums. My waist is really low, so it never hits the right spot and it just is super unflattering. This looks really cute though!

    I love peplum. I have been wanting a peplum skirt but haven't found just the right one. Also want a white peplum top. Yours is adorable! And I am SO excited about Gatsby coming out!!! I feel like I have been waiting for forever for it to come out!

    YES, I am excited for The Great Gatsby. It was one of my favorites as well and I was disappointed to find that F. Scott Fitzgerald's other stuff wasn't as great.

    Love the sunglasses shot. So cool. Can't stand peplum but that one does work on you. Love your shoes. Can't stand that darn Pinterest link smack in the center of every photo.

    I absolutely LOVE this top. It is seriously one of the cutest ones I've ever seen. I've had limited success with peplum- most are too short and make me look like I'm wearing a horrible crop top. The only ones that have worked from me are Loft. It looks like this one is already sold out or else I'd totally try it!
