Steph and I usually blog over at fit fashionista, but
today I am so excited to be able to hang out with all of you lovely Coffee

get asked a lot, particularly at the clothing store I work at is, “What
the heck would I wear with these bright floral pants?” or “What would
would go with this printed maxi, a white t-shirt?” For someone who
is not used to wearing bold patterns it can be a challenge to determine how to
style them without having it looked like you simply grabbed random pieces from
your closet without looking, threw them on, and called it an outfit. Now that
the warm weather is here and we are seeing prints all over everything in
stores, I think everybody should have some tricks up their sleeves for how to
wear these fun pieces.
been one to pattern discriminate – florals, stripes, aztec prints – you name
it, my wardrobe has it! Because of that, I have learned some important tips to
making these items work with what I have in my closet. With these principles in
mind, I can take a bold printed maxi skirt and style it for a casual weekend
brunch or a day at the office.
print just speaks for itself. A flowy floral skirt with a solid top that plays
off the same colour is an easy way to look put together and stylish and let
your favourite print stand out. If you are new to wearing bold patterns, this
is an easy way to make it work!
way to add some interest to an otherwise neutral outfit? Why not make a
statement with a leopard handbag or some floral heels? This is a great way to
spice up a simple jeans and a tee kind of outfit!
want to go for some pattern on pattern but are afraid of it not looking right,
try sticking to one colour. You’ll be so on trend with this look as patterned
and monochromatic outfits are both so hot right now.
what it is about these two fun prints but they just seem to always go perfectly together! Even if you are
new to mixing and matching patterns it is hard to mess this one up, and you
will be showing the world what a fashionista you really are!

I agree with all of the above! Especially floral and stripes. It really is a no-fail combination, as scary as it might sound for a lot of folks. Once they see it, they get it. ๐
