I find myself drinking less and less water when the summer months roll around. I usually tend to reach for thing that seem both yummy and refreshing, a Diet Coke, a frozen Daquri or even an Iced Latte. Although water seems tempting after a nice run, it’s usually not my beverage of choice during the warm months (or cold…ooops). My husband drinks water like it’s going out of style, he must be very buoyant. Me, I have to find more creative solutions. While I’ve tried the flavorings and Crystal Lights, etc..it’s just easier to reach for something I don’t have to mix or squeeze during those times of need. That’s why I’ve been trying to make these little concoctions to reach for in a moment of thirst. I’ve tried numerous flavors, and love all of them. I actually have been battling with my husband to see who gets the last drops.
- Pitcher
- Knife
- Fruit(s) or veggie(s) of your choice
- Water
- Ice or fridge
This is obviously SUPER easy and can be done with so many different combos. My favorite so far is simple cucumber water, but strawberries and pineapple is also a yummy combo. The water is flavored enough that it’s not boring, but tasty enough that I don’t have to force myself to drink it. This would be adorable for a summer Bar-B-Que or even a shower of some sort.

I do this in the summer too! I actually just made some cucumber lemon water last night. I find that I definitely drink more water when it's got just a little something extra in it.

I've been doing that at work for months! My coworkers and I decided thaT DURING OUR 8 HOUR SHIFTS WE WOULD DRINK OUR RECOMMENDED 8, 8 ounce glasses of water. This is one per hour while we are at work. However, the water is not the best. So we've been adding lemons, limes, and oranges to help us get through our goal. It really helps! Also, since I like can soda, I always drank it through a straw. So I drink my water with a straw to trick myself into thinking it is a soda!

Yum! I have a fridge full of berries that I know will go bad if I don't do something soon; this is the perfect solution!

I love love love water…I drink it like it's going out of style as well, but my husband on the other hand prefers anything but! I keep a water bottle on my desk at work with a straw in it and I find that I get a lot more of during the day that way!

I usually just drink water alone or with a slice of lemon but ever since I've met my boyfriend (who drinks water like your husband does), I've slowly developed the habit myself! Now, I never leave the house without my liter water bottle, sometimes two if I have a long day at work. I haven't tried it with berries though!
