Im back today with another peek into our loft. At the end/beginning of last and this year, I became obsessed with the idea of a beverage cart. I love the little spunk it gives to a space and I love that you can customize it to whatever your heart’s desire! As I was pinning little carts like crazy and admiring the different differentiations Emily and Kathleen’s from CBL have come up with in the past, I also saw a HUGE roadblock in my way. P.R.I.C.E. I had no furniture that I could transform into a cart or a table like Kathleen. Wow, can those little carts become expensive to buy- not even all the fixings, just the carts. So I pondered…..and then I remembered a decrepit little glass thing that sat in our basement for years at my parent’s house. I called my mom and she told me the table was mine but needed some work. I loaded it in the car (much to Aaron’s dismay, it was rusty, silver and ew). I went to work on that little guy. Sand, spray paint, sand again and finish. I must say, my husband TOTALLY gets it now (but I think it’s secretly because he just likes displaying his scotch on our monogrammed “L” tray).
You don’t need to drink to have one of these little gems. In fact, that’s why I always make sure some sparkling water is on hand with cold sodas and other refreshments in the fridge. But everyone could always use an adorable straw or a cute cocktail napkin despite their beverage of choice. Did you see Emily’s sparkling water post yesterday? I could def serve some of that yumness to guest from this little cart. What I honestly love most is that it displays those items you usually keep tucked in a drawer: my husband’s bottle of expensive scotch given to him for our wedding, cute straws, stemless wine glasses and cocktail napkins. And if you do like a cocktail every now and again, we keep ours stocked with the basics: vodka, whiskey, mixers, simple syrup, etc.

We ended up with a beverage cart but it's wooden, from Ikea and wasn't really planned. We just kept running out of space for alcohol! Yours is really cute. Love it.
