Fall Like

North Carolina had some cray cray weather last week. It was fall like and chilly which required a bit more coverage than the last few weeks have. I sat out on the patio in the mornings with my favorite college sweater and a cup of coffee while Aaron slept off his night shifts. It was cozy and relaxing and extremely weird to me since it’s not even September yet. With that said, Rosalyn from My Fancy Pants and I decided to show you how we transition our summer looks to fall. Personally, for transitioning, I love a good maxi skirt. Perfect for tank tops or blouses, a good maxi skirt is extremely versatile for unexpected weather patterns.

Go figure though, this week is back up in the mid 80’s so while I did enjoy the fall like weather, I don’t think NC is going to have any quite yet. While I know everyone is starting to get the “fall” bug, Im trying to contain myself because I know more warm days are on the horizon. It will be fall before we know it- filled with pumpkin spice lattes and apple pies. For now though, Im going to try and soak up the last amount of that summer sun I can and keep on applying for jobs! Keep sending me those positive thoughts!

    We had semi-cool weather here in NYC all week last week, and it was getting me so excited for fall. Of course, now we're back to high 80's, but it was nice while it lasted! I love the sweet detailing on these sleeves!

    I agree with you 100%! I live in South Carolina and I see everyone posting these cute fall outfits…while I am soaking in sweat after 10 minutes of being outside. It's not realistic for me (other than maybe incorporating the colors) to be in Fall wear just yet. I know I have at least a month of warm weather…maybe with a few Fall days here and there. Love the maxi!

    I think a lot of places cooled off last week (I LOVED it!) but its back to summer this week! I think this outfit is the perfect transition look…you can wear this in both seasons and not look crazy! Love the maxi.
