Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins

A Biltmore Visit +Giveaway

October 2, 2013

::Necklace c/o Urban Peach Boutique (here), watch c/o My Fiore Boutique (here), scarf ASOS, Jeans J,Crew, Top Ann Taylor (here),  bag Michael Kors, Jewelry Forever21 David Yurman, Lipstick Candy Yum Yum, Sunnies Anthropologie AVA, Boots Shoemint::

If you follow me on Instagram (amy_cbandbp), you’ll know that this past weekend, we headed to Asheville. Originally, we hadn’t planned to go to the Biltmore, we planned to hike…you can only imagine what that meant for my suitcase. This look was thrown together with some items I stuffed in as “extras.” It’s simple, casual, but yet put together enough to venture into public. Plus, it has stripes+leopard, so Im not complaining. However, that mop top pony tail (i.e. dirty hair), that has a mind of it’s own. I love this top from Ann Taylor and I plan to use it both for work and play. I actually didn’t wear an undershirt with it, my husband almost had a heart attack, but I was feeling adventurous. It’s barely sheer, and I know that’s technically on trend, but I must admit, part of my still felt self-conscious throughout the day. I am after all, an undershirt gal.

Anyway, the Biltmore is beyond gorgeous. Although expensive to visit, the house is beautiful, but I think it’s really the grounds that make the visit worthwhile. I could have spent all day there, but sadly we only had 5 hours…yes, 5 hours was not enough. I hope to go back at Christmas sometime so we can view the trees and holiday decor.

Are you loving this bright yellow necklace from Urban Peach Boutique as much as I am? Enter below to win one of your very own!

Have you ever went to the Biltmore? Worth the money or no?

Worn sheer with no undershirt? Spill!

Thanks for reading, and good luck!

The Biltmore is beautiful. I went for a work outing so I didn't have to pay for the tour. I wish we could have spent more time exploring the grounds, and I bet its BEAUTIFUL decorated for Christmas! And look at you being daring with no tank under that top! I think its sassy for a day out!

I visited the Biltmore about a year ago just after the spring flowers had died off. We're planning our next trip to when the tulips and daffodils are blooming!
The downtown area of Asheville is so fun and hip. Definitely doesn't feel like your out in the hills in the middle of nowhere.

    Love your look!

Beautiful outfit, so classy chic. Stripes and leopard print go so well together! I've never visited Biltmore, but the grandeur displayed through your photos reminds me of England so much.

    Cheers!

I visited Biltmore a while ago in the summer. I thought it was gorgeous, but I think it would be even prettier around mid October with all the leaves changing!
    Great photos by the way!

Ahhh, the Biltmore is so pretty. My hubby and I have always wanted to go there during Christmas. I think they do candlelit tours or something like that (probably super expensive) during that time of year.

And your boots! They're so cool.
