A few weeks ago, the husband and I took a little day trip to Raleigh and just walked around for a bit and had lunch. We didn’t have any major plans or goals in mind, but it was nice walking around shops aimlessly, not really looking for anything in particular. I love this Maison Jules top from Macys. It’s a new brand that I discovered on a wrong turn from the MAC counter and everything is so unique and cute. I also plan to dress this sweater down when the weather turns a bit cooler.

I am really hoping that NC gets some fall like weather soon. Im missing the Ohio fall. This past weekend it was 92 degrees when I got in my car. I dressed with the mentality that I would wear fall clothing even if mother nature refused to bring me cool temps. Wow, mistake. I made for one very hot, uncomfortable girl while out and about running errands. I think I’ll need to hold off on complete fall looks for a bit longer.

    Try wearing items in fall colors but that are lighter to suit the weather, like a burgundy colored tee with a light, flowy teal scarf. Then you'll have the fall palette but not the sleeves adn you won't be uncomfortable1

    p.s. It was 80 degrees Saturday and 60-something for the Bengals/Patriots game Sunday. Ohio weather just went to fall temps in the past two days! It's been sporadic at best. My days off have all been the 80 degree weather. You're not missing too too much.

    I totally agree! It was in the 90's last week here (Memphis) and FINALLY this week it's in the 70's. It's going back to the low 80's this weekend, but I'm really hoping this means that any sight of the 90 degree weather is gone for another year.

    I tried on a top similar to this the other day and it did not look remotely ok on me–I was so disappointed. I'll have to try out this one instead, it's so pretty!

    I loooooove that top! I saw something similar to it at Forever21 this past weekend but it just didn't fit me right. The background behind you in those photos is beautiful – the greens/plants on the wall!
