If you saw my Instagram post yesterday (amy_cbandbp), you know that I am in DC for a short work trip. I actually am flying back later today. Although the trip has been short and sweet, it’s been fun and different to go on an official “business trip.”
When I was packing (I carried on, the first time in my life!), I struggled to decide what to bring that was not only Corporate appropriate, but not totally boring. After thinking about what a good corporate work wardrobe needs, I came to three conclusions: pencil skirts, wrap dresses and great jackets. Now, of course great slacks, etc are always needed, but I feel like these three items have a lot of personality.
What pieces do you think makes a great corporate wardrobe?

I love that jacket! I'm definitely going to be adding a boxier jacket to my wardrobe this fall.

Love this! All of these outfits are darling. I love blazers for work. My work environment is pretty casual, so jeans with a blouse, flats, and blazer is my go-to. Thanks for sharing!

I love dressing in "fun/edgy corporate" attire more than what is probably considered normal. LOVE the wrap dress here. My favorite office pieces are certainly blazers and pencil skirts. Hope the trip goes well!
