Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins

How to: Kale Chips

November 21, 2013

I am a constant muncher at work, so in order to be more health conscious and stop visiting the work vending machine (skittles….), I started making Kale chips each week. Aaron thought the idea of them sounded awful at first, but after he tried them our first batch was gone in about 30 minutes. Did I mention they are also SUPER easy?

         ………………………………………….HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED………………………………………

Kale Bunch
Salt and Pepper
Olive Oil
Lemon

  • Break Kale into pieces after washing
  • Lightly coat with olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Add juice of lemon (sometimes I skip this step)
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees
  • Allow to cool and enjoy!

You can make so many variations with different seasonings etc.
Have you tried Kale chips? Think you will?

Do you think they'll come out the same if I use pre washed kale from a tub?

Kale chips are my favorite snack ever–they're just SO easy and feel healthy! My favorite new way to make them is with nutritional yeast–it tastes just like parm!

I'll have to try these! I'm a big juicer and wonder if this will work with Kale that is not as fresh for juicing?
