I am a firm believer in lip liner for two reasons. 1. I think it helps define lips better (duh) and 2. It prevents lipstick from bleeding off of your lips. I don’t wear it every single time I put lipstick on, but I should.
The first thing I do is moisturize. I use MACs Lip Conditioner, but any type of chapstick will do.
2. Starting from the outside of your lip, work your way up in quick strokes to the middle of your lips. Repeat on the other side.
3. Repeat on bottom with quick strokes.
4. Fill in with lipstick.
Easy as pie and it really does make a huge difference in keeping your lipstick in place! I have listed the products used below, but a great neutral that will work with all shades in Boldly Bare from MAC. It’s my go-to daily.
Quick tip: try to avoid using a liner too dark compared to your lipstick. You definitely don’t want to look like you’re from 1980. 🙂 I would say 1-2 shades darker max. I know it seems easy, I almost feel silly talking about it!

I am! I actually like NYX's clear lip liner. I think it's just a wax pencil but it's lovely.
