We snapped these photos on our last night in Savannah. I mentioned on Instagram how the final night of vacation is always the worst. Sometimes it’s because Im having so much fun and I never want to leave and sometimes it’s because Im ready to be home. Does that make sense? In Savannah’s case, I didn’t want the trip to end because Aaron rarely has more than one day off in a row and it was so nice to be able to spend time together without a medical book or pager in the picture. 

With that said, he does take his third and final (for now anyway) Board this Friday and then he has a golden! Woo-who! A golden weekend in residency is when residents are off both Saturday and Sunday. It’s very rare and definitely something to be excited about. We don’t plan to do anything too fun, we haven’t just relaxed since buying our house, so I’m hoping for a little R&R and some steaks on the grill. 

 

I love that today is Wednesday, don’t y’all? Short weeks are the best!

    Look at those arms girl! I see those muscles sticking out 😉 I know what you mean about the last night of vacation — I find for short trips, I always want to extend them. For the long hauls away, it feels great to come home and get back into my bed!
