An Ode to Dad (and a pretty awesome sweepstakes)

 Something about summer and nautical themed things always reminds me of my father. So naturally, when I wore this Shop RiffRaff dress for my girlfriend’s nautical themed bachelorette party, it made me think of my dad. My dad isn’t a sea captain, or a fisherman…but the only time he ever really seems relaxed is on the water. My parents own some property on the water and every weekend in the summer they go to it for a weekly break. Over the years, my sisters and I have polluted it with nautical themed décor passing along anchors and buoys as items for them to decorate with. As a busy and overworked roofing contractor, when my father is on the water, he seems less stressed, less tired and peaceful—and it’s in these moments that I remember my father smiling the most- especially when his three girls are around.

    loove that dress! can i ask how you wore a bra with it? do you just have a really low-back bra? i got a dress with a similar back but haven't figured out the bra situation yet…
