While I know many people are gearing up for fall, the weather is still warm
here in NC. I am trying to wear the life out of every summer item I have before
fall hits and I am in plaid and boots (not that I don’t love fall, I do). I get
so frustrated during this time of year because everyone is all fall, fall,
fall, falllllll and although fall is my favorite time of year, it’s hot still
quite frankly. You won’t see me in jeans, flannel and boots while it’s 100+
degrees out and I won’t be buying those items right now either since I won’t be
able to wear them for a while. I have the same problem when spring is coming
and it’s still cold. I remember growing up, I could never wear my birthday
clothes because the end of March in Ohio is still very cold sometimes and
spring type items just aren’t practical. I would wait until the weather warmed
up, but by then, my items would be “last season” with the tags still on. Can
anyone else relate?

Anyway, I wore this American Prep dress while out and about in DC while
visiting my mother in law. It was perfect for a day of exploring and
transitioned well for dinner that same night. I love the ruffle front detailing
and the eyelet, so feminine and pretty!

Is fall just around the corner where you are, or still a month or two away?
I’d like another few weeks of summer and then bring on fall (however, I am
thinking fall won’t hit here until Octoberish).
