I know this isn’t my typical kind of post, but today I wanted to take some time to share a cause with y’all that is near to my heart #PedigreeGives. Throughout life, I always like to try to give back what I can and the upcoming holiday season always makes me want to reach out and make a bigger impact where we are able. Whether to animals, food banks or even non profits, it feels good to know you’re making a difference somewhere to not only yourself, but to the person, creature or cause you’re giving back to. Halloween always seems like the start of the holiday season to me, so in addition of the upcoming causes we’ll be supporting (i.e. Movember, Adopt a Family at Christmas, etc), I wanted to add one more cause to the mix and this one is easy because I don’t have to do anything but purchase some Pedigree Dog Food at Sam’s for my pup (which we do plenty of). For every Pedigree dog product purchased in the month of October (Pet Adoption Month), Pedigree will provide one bowl of dog food to a shelter dog. And seriously, who doesn’t want to help a shelter dog? Have you seen those Sarah McLaughlin commercials—- tear jerkers. 

Our precious little Bella was a rehome and my in-laws are big supporters of adopting. A few months ago Aaron and I were approved to adopt a golden retriever, so now we are on the lookout for the right little guy to gal to join our family.  I love the idea of giving an animal a warm bed, belly rubs and lots of love. About five years ago when Aaron and I first started doing long distance at the start of Medical School, I became extremely depressed and just plain down in the dumps. I had a terrible job, a bad living situation and I missed my boyfriend (at the time). Enter Bella. While at first it was quite the adjustment to get used to having a furry friend around who completely relied on me, I soon realized how much joy and laughter she could bring into my life. I am so glad that I picked this unwanted pooch to join our family. She is the most amazing little monster and obviously from below you can see she is so pumped to kick off the holiday season and help other shelter dogs too by eating her Pedigree Dentastix! 

Anyway, thanks for letting me share this great cause with y’all as a little fashion/style break. Whether you’re a shelter dog owner or a breeder dog owner it doesn’t matter! We all know how much these little guys mean to us and our lives! Try to remember that during the month of October you can help a dog in need by purchasing Pedigree products and you can help give a shelter dog a little boost of energy and confidence to find his furrrever home too!

We often say we wouldn’t trade her for one million dollars! I truly believe in the Pedigree product and also in their mission to help shelter dogs in need.
