I’m so excited today to team up with Conair to share a holiday hair tutorial with y’all! The holidays are such a fun time to get glammed up and add a little sparkle to your look. However, I always favor a little bit of mess to an elegant hair do. I don’t know if it’s because I agree with Jenna Lyons that something should always appear to be a little messy, or if I am just not a fan of a sleeked back look, but I always love a little mess to an elegant look to keep it fun. Anyway, I love a full side pony with an elegant dress, so I thought today I would share with y’all how I achieve mine!

1. To achieve this easy and simple holiday hair, I started with clean, dry hair (thanks to the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Brushless Motor Dryer).

2. Once my hair was dry, I used the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret® to curl my whole head. I used about a 12 second setting to make sure my curl was a little tighter so that when styling my pony, I kept the curl and didn’t loose volume.  


3. I then used the Conair Velvet Paddle Brush to smooth the curls and give them a quick brush through.

3. Once hair is curled, tease at crown of head and decide what pieces you want to leave down (I tend to like a lot of hair down to create that “messy” look).
 
4. Pulling hair into pony tail holder slightly to the side, secure. Once tight, pull pieces out to create volume and pin with Conair Bobby Pins where needed.

5. Curl any lose ends that need curling.

5. Add a little sparkly (or in my case, a red lip) and ta-da!
