Whether or not you rent or own- your space should always be welcoming. Nate Berkus is spot on when he says “Your home is a reflection of your personality, and what matters to you.” This even includes your bathroom. Whether or not you have one, two, three or more- this space should be just as welcoming to guests in your home and even for you! I know since Aaron and I bought a house, it’s been a goal of mine to make every guest we’ve had feel extremely welcome, along with adding little touches like fresh flowers throughout the house and some extra cheese and wine in the pantry, I also like to make sure the guest bathroom is clean and welcoming. Sometimes I hate traveling and being out of my element, so it’s important that while my guest may not be at home, that they feel like they can relax. Luckily with the help of Unstopables, I’ve been able to add some freshness to our spaces without it being too overwhelming for guests!

Below are some tips I utilize for making a guest bath an inviting space for guests.
1. Fresh towels and plenty of them. I always try to leave at least 1-2 full body towels, a wash rag and a hand towel for guests. You just never know how many people like to use. Additionally, I make sure everything is freshly laundered. I’ve actually been using the Unstopables In-Wash Scent Boosters. and they work wonders to keep clean clothes and towels fresh. I have to admit, I am usually a skeptic about these types of things, but wow- these are amazing and I can see where a bottle would go super far. If you’re not into that sort of thing, the fabric freshener is also amazing.
2. Add some Fresh Flowers. I think fresh flowers are such an inexpensive way to say welcome. They don’t need to be fancy or frilly, but seeing fresh flowers always makes me smile and I’m sure guests appreciate them too.
3. Air Freshener. Whether this is a plug in or a bottle of spray- I like to leave it on a counter to let guest know they are welcome to spritz some no matter the circumstance. I also like to have a candle burning when guests arrive, putting matches by the candle to let them know they are welcome to use them is also appreciated. Unstopables also has a perfect option and that air freshener honestly makes our whole house smell- not just the bathroom! It’s amazing.
4. Toiletry items. Most people choose to bring their own toothbrushes, shampoos and bath gels. But just in case people forget, I always have extra on hand. Toothbrushes and paste in the drawers easy to find and shampoo and bath gel in the shower area. I also like to put Q-tips and cotton balls in a little dish for use if need.
5. Space. I know this seems silly, but just clearing space for guests to sit their items out on the counter is appreciated and courteous.
6. Extra Toilet Paper and a lot of it. I like to store at least 3-4 rolls in a small basket near the toilet so guest know where it is.
7. Other simple pleasures like magazines your guests might like and a cup for water at night are appreciated but not 100% necessary. I tend to just stack some old magazines we get on a spot in the bathroom so guest can flip through them. If the stack gets too tall, I throw those on the bottom out!
Again, none of these are necessities, but are just appreciated by guests when visiting your home. If you share a bathroom with guests that’s fine too! You don’t have to have a spare bathroom to make people feel welcome!
Everyone have a great weekend and make sure you check out Unstopables, they really are amazing- my husband is even a fan!

Looks lovely! I like to leave out the "extras" too — toothbrush, toiletries, etc. Just like a hotel. (Learned that from my mother!) And I love monogrammed towels. Very classy. 🙂
