Day Date with J.J.Threads

I used to love picking up jewelry from Forever21 for the price, etc. But the greener is gets (and me), I realize, sometimes investment pieces for costume jewelry makes more sense. Like these Tassel Earrings. I love them. I have some Lisi Lerch earrings and while I think they are beautiful, it’s hard for me to wear them because of their weight. These J.Crew ones are nice and light, so I can still get my tassel on without breaking my earlobe. 

Now, this isn’t to say I don’t love some Forever21 jewelry, I do! But I think for more basic items, sometimes a little more spent is a little more quality earned (not the case for everything though!)

Remember here when I talked about J.J.Threads? Well this was the final product and Aaron loves the shirt. I can say from looking closely at it, that the quality is great. It’s so cool to see a finished product and know that we designed the shirt together. I especially love the stipes lining the buttons and the inside of the cuffs. Also what’s great about the site is the versatility of these shirts. The quality is amazing, so it’s perfect for a casual day date, something nicer at night, or even for work. Aaron has since rocked this shirt all those ways (although I don’t think he would use the word “rock.” He has even added a bow tie for the hospital (he wears them a lot, I think it’s a neurology thing). It’s so nerdy and cute. 


On another note, since Aaron has been on nights, last weekend we had a “day date” instead of a night date. I love mixing it up in terms of what we do, so it was fun grabbing lunch and catching up from different schedules all week!

He is still on nights this evening, so I plan to hunker down and watch a movie and maybe get some things accomplished so that we can relax and enjoy each other’s company the remainder of the weekend (after he gets some sleep).
