When I am in charge of bringing a dish to someone’s house. I usually go for my staples: bean salad, cucumber salad, etc. However, last week, we picked up some Hormel Pepperoni from Walmart and I remembered my girlfriend Alyssa makes this amazing pepperoni dip that we all love (she also has an adorable food blog you should check out!). Anyway, for a cookout Sunday night, I wanted to take something different, so I emailed Alyssa asking for the recipe. My friends loved it. To quote my friend Hope’s husband J: “Amy, please just make this from now on anytime you bring something.” It was gone within a matter of minutes after heating, but you can also serve it cold and it’s great too!
Here is what you need:
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 3 oz pkg pepperoni, chopped
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Mix together and serve cold.
OR mix cream cheese, sour cream, and spices together. Spread pizza sauce on top in pie pan. Sprinkle with pepperoni or green onion, bake 350 degrees for 10 min (you can also microwave). Top with mozzarella and bake 5 min more or until melted.
Sometimes during the week I’ll take pepperoni as a mid day snack which is great, but finding it other ways to use it besides pizza and on it’s own is always great too! I felt bad because Aaron was on nights and asked me the next morning if any of this was left and the answer was no. Maybe Ill make it again this weekend since I have extra ingredients!

I don't use pepperoni a lot but in the past I've used it in crescent rolls with cheese to make mini pizzas!
