I love trying new products out. I talked yesterday about a new hair product I’m using and loving and today I want to share my thoughts on some more products with you. Buying beauty products can add up quickly and it’s such a gamble to know what’s worth your money and what’s not, so I always want to be honest with you when I have the opportunity to review something that’s new or even new to me. Obviously, everyone can have experiences that are different. My favorite mascara is not my best friends favorite mascara for different reasons and that’s okay too!
Today I wanted to share my thoughts on Kohl’s new Bliss line. I’ll be the first to admit, I didn’t even know Kohl’s had a skin care line, but they do and I was pleasantly surprised after using them for two weeks. With this line, Kohl’s basic ope is to bring the spa to you: “Since not everyone can get to our spa, we
use our expertise and state-of-the art technology to develop powerful
yet delightful products so you can capture those wonderful,
transformational beauty-and-well-being
spa benefits at home.”
The line varies from skin care to firming and I tried a little of each.
#1/#2. Fat Girl Slim & Fat Girl Six Pack
Okay, I have to admit, I don’t have a six pack now and my skin isn’t as firm as a brick, but I did like the overall feel of the product. It’s cool and refreshing and smells clean. Both of these products are easy to use and were decent in size given the price point. I do like the Fat Girl Slim firming cream and while I know these products take time, I will continue to use this to see if after two, three, four months I can tell a difference. Compared to similar products, the price point of $38.00 is extremely reasonable, although I can see running out would become a problem if you’re using it all over. I mainly targeted my legs for this trial. As for Fat Girl Six pack, I read a fitness blog that swears by a similar product, but sadly, I didn’t end up with a six pack. What I can tell you is that a little product goes a long way and with diet and exercise this product may have real potential for targeting those tummy muscles. TBD on that one, so the jury is still out on the six pack product.
#3. Muli “Face” -eted
I actually don’t typically do face masks, so I thought “hey, why not try that out.” Now, I see why people do it. This all in one clay mask goes on thick and is grainy which means it exfoliates your skin while washing off. After leaving this on for about 10-15 minutes, my skin was extremely smooth and just looked brighter. At $50.00 this product is a little steep, but compared to similar products I think it’s worth the investment. Plus, who doesn’t love all in one? I don’t have time for six, seven, eight, nine different face care products, so I am a huge fan of anything that kills numerous birds with the least amount of stones!
#4. Fabulips
I mean, the name along gets it at least one start right? Clever, clever. I actually liked this product because unlike other plumpers I’ve used it didn’t burn. There is a slight tingle to it, but it’s definitely not as intense as some. I did notice a little pout, but mostly I noticed how shiny it goes on and how long it lasted. It actually made my lips feel really smooth without being too sticky or goopy. If anything, I think this is worth a try simply for the hydrating power.
#5. Fuzz Off Facial Hair Remover
I’m blonde, so I don’t typically have to worry about unwanted facial hair too much, but I do some maintenance on the upper lip area every now and again. I usually just go to the salon and then leave with a red upper lip and can’t go anywhere for the next two hours, so trying to product and finding out how easy and effective it was is a huge relief. You literally put it on, wait 3-5 minutes and wipe away and surprisingly, it worked really well. Obviously not as well as a wax, but to be able to use this tube numerous times for $22.00 when one wax at the salon is $15.00 I’m sold.
Overall, I was really happy with all of the products, but especially #3, #4, and #5. Something else that is really great for the line, is almost all products come in a “trial” or smaller size so you can test it first without dropping the full price. For example, these are the Muli “Face” -eted in a sample size (great for traveling or sampling!).
Tell me, have you tried anything from the Bliss line? I’d love to hear your thoughts and if you’ve tried anything different!
