I think I’ve share with y’all before that I have a lot of hair, which means a lot of maintenance which basically translates to: can get really expensive. It’s been feeling a little less than stellar lately- I don’t know if it’s the humidity in the air or just the fact that it’s summer and more dry, but it’s a disaster lately. I try to only use color on it every three months or so, but in between I’ve been trying to do more to take care of it. Remember here and here when I posted about Target Beauty Box? Well the I got another round of great, affordable items to sample. This box included a full tube of Cover Girl Supersizer Mascara (review to come), Olay Active Botanicals Toner (I’ve been using this nightly!), Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizer, a Crest 3D Whitestrips 1HR Express (swear by these) and lastly, Hair Food Moisturizing Mask. I plan to do a post on the mascara soon (it will include a review of some of my favorite mascaras), but I wanted to talk a little about the Hair Food today. While I’ve only been using it for about a week and therefore don’t truly know if it’s fixing my split ends (I also desperately need a hair cut), I can say that this product smells amazing and makes my hair very silky. For someone that dyes their hair a lot and also isn’t the kindest to it (I use heat on it often), I’ve had great results thus far. I even popped over to Target.com to read the reviews and it seems like most people really enjoyed it!
Anyway, once again, Target did it. I love that the box is so affordable and yet offers great products that can be purchased on their store shelves if one should want them. You can’t beat all of that for $5.00!
On another note, I know it’s about 100 degrees in NC and you’re probably wondering why I’m carrying around a leather jacket, but I ALWAYS have a jacket with me since everywhere you sit inside is always so frigid! You just never know when you’re going to need some covering! Plus, I think everyone should have a leather jacket, I picked this faux one up from the Anniversary Sale and am in love!
