Things that sparkle are right up there on my favorite types of things to drink- champagne, juice, water… you name it. If it has sparkly in it’s title, I’m probably ordering that drink even if the ingredients seem less than appealing! So when I passed by the new IZZE Sparkling Water the other day, I paused. Knowing I had a Junior League Committee meeting that evening, I grabbed some and threw them in my cart, not really knowing what I was purchasing them for. When I got home that evening though, I realized we not only had some white wine, but a ton of fruit that was on the verge of being wasted. SANGRIA popped into my head!
I had made Sangria before, but this time I opted for a less caloric option only using about 1/2 the bottle of white wine and 1/2 the bottle of champagne. Instead, I used two IZZE Blackberry Pear bottles to add some more sparkle (because more sparkle is always a good idea!). IZZE Sparkling Water has just 10 calories per 12-oz
serving and a hint of organic pure cane sugar (1-2 grams), which means it’s a great alternative to all of those champagne calories!
Here is what you need:
- Cava (I used just a dry Brut) 1/2 bottle
- White wine (I used Pinot Grigio, but if you like it a little more sweet, I would opt for a Reisling) 1/2 bottle
- Fresh Fruit (
- IZZE Sparkling Waters (I used 2, could use all four for a larger quantity)
- 1/4 cup sugar
Do you have any sangria recipes you love? I am typically a red sangria fan, but sometimes it’s too sweet for me! I love this one because while it’s sweet, it’s expected since it’s sparkling! It’s also a great make and take for weekly get-togethers with friends, making them brighter, stylish and sparkly!
Have you tried the new IZZE Sparkling Water? My husband is obsessed and has literally already powered through all three of the four packs I bought! Luckily it’s not expensive, so I will just pick up some more this weekend!

I'm not a big fan of sangria but do love sparkling water. I didn't realize Izze made this so will definitely have to try it!
