Plaid for Fall

Ever since I wrote about Target’s denim (here), I’ve been checking out the clothing section more and more when I have to run an errand there. Target is really stepping up their game in all departments (not that its game was ever not stepped up, because who doesn’t love Target?). Anyway, I ran to our local one the other day to pick up some items for a baby shower I was helping to throw for a friend and I was casually browsing the women’s clothing section when I spotted these separates. Windowpane plaid (insert eyes with heart emoji). I love matching separates- maybe that makes me basic and boring, but I don’t even care.  As soon as I put it on I was sold and then I happened upon this little gem and was sold on it too! It is so soft and perfect. If you’re looking for plaid that wont break the bank this fall, Target’s got you covered. They actually are launching the Now This Is Plaid, TargetStyle, this season, which invites everyone to try on some plaid and add some to your wardrobes. Who doesn’t love plaid is what I want to know?! They had this long blue plaid tunic that I almost picked up, but I had to restrain myself (which was really hard; maybe I’ll go back). 

How was everyone’s weekend? Ours was busy– well, mine was. Aaron was on nights, but I kept myself running around per usual. I babysat my girlfriends baby on Friday night with a friend so mom and dad could have a date night. I think it’s so important to do that (says the chick with no children), but seriously: If you have kids, do you set aside time for that? Sunday morning we hosted a baby shower brunch for a friend that is expecting and I still think I’m full from all the delicious food!
