I remember a while ago, my girlfriend Julie had a pair of boots that looked comfortable and cute, so being a female, I of course asked where she got them and she let me know they were Born. She only had the best of things to say about them. I had forgotten about that conversation until I was given the opportunity to try some Born boots out from Dillards. These boots are a game changer. Adorable (I mean, the fringe is so fun), comfortable and a bootie (my personal fav. fall weather shoe). You know how sometimes you wear boots and even though they are flat, your feet still kill at the end of the day? Not with these. I wore this look while we were in the mountains and I was able to explore Boone and Blowing Rock all day wearing these bad boys. They really are so comfortable and they come in numerous colors which is always a plus for me because when something is good, I tend to buy it in every color possible. Do you do that? There is no shame in my opinion!

Speaking of comfort, Aaron is also now a believe in a comfortable boot. For the longest time, I couldn’t get him to wear anything in the winter other than his Sperrys and sneakers, but since introducing him to Chukkas and these Born boots, he has been wearing them non stop. He even asked me if I thought he could wear them to work with dress pants.

I think it’s so funny how you can have an influence on your partner’s style. Aaron pretty much wears what he likes, but occasionally I can slip some great boots or a pair of skinny jeans by him and 9 times of our 10, he ends up loving what I’ve picked. I make the sacrifices too- I tend to down play girly a lot just because I know he loves me in something casual with minimal makeup. Not to be confused that I’m never girly, my office is painted pink y’all!

Also, I don’t know why, but whenever I wear my booties, I never tend to zip them all the way. Does anyone else do that? I feel like I like the open/bagginess of them that way, but I may just look like a weirdo who doesn’t zip their boots up!
