Blanket Scarves and Wooden Watches

We’ve lived in our little house for almost a year and a half now and our fireplace has never worked. Yesterday morning, a man came to look at it and fixed it. Growing up, I never had a fireplace at my parent’s house, so it was such a treat to sip hot cocoa and watch Christmas movies while I wrapped presents! I mean, I’ve been missing out guys! The only problem is that it’s a gas fireplace, so both Aaron and I are paranoid about burning the house down (knock on a HUGE piece of wood). Give me your tips- am I just being crazy?
