I love books. They literally in every room of my house whether for pleasure, decor or fun. And a good coffee table book? Perfect for decorating, conversation starting and just killing time. Today, I’ve rounded up my 10 favorite coffee table books:
- Chanel: Collections and Creations: Focusing on five essential themes, this book takes the reader on it’s journey through time. It’s sleek and modern color make this a great read and a great neutral for your decor.
- Elements of Style: Have you read her blog? It’s one of my favorites and so is this book. It’s practical, classy and a fun read. Plus, the photos are gorgeous.
- Cupcakes and Cashmere: I love both books from C&C. I love Emily’s blog and her books do not disappoint. Either of these are my go to hostess gifts for girlfriends.
- Post Secret: Any of these coffee table books are a perfect mix of sadness, laughs and just “wows.” I’ve sat on couches for hours flipping through these stories and just imagining the people that send them in. Any of them are sure to spark a conversation.
- The Knot: Whether you’re planning a wedding, have planned one or just love looking at gorgeous weddings- you can definitely kill some time flipping through pages and pages of gorgeousness.
- The Southern Handbook: “Whether you live below the Mason Dixon Line or just wish you did, The Southerner’s Handbook is your guide to living the good life. Curated by the editors of the award-winning Garden & Gun magazine, this compilation of more than 100 instructional and narrative essays offers a comprehensive tutorial to modern-day life in the South.” I’m not Southern, but I love their traditions (and since living in the Souh have adopted a few myself).
- Humans of New York: I follow their page on Facebook and the stories warm my heart. Photographer Brandon Stanton set out to create a photographic census of New York City and shares amazing anecdotes through his photos.
- Underwater Dogs: Because why wouldn’t you want this hilarious photo book on your table?
- All in Good Taste: I love all the Kate Spade books (here and here). I have all three and they are fun to flip through, talk about, etc. This new one, with hostess tips and recipes is a sure to spark conversation, or motivate you to concoct something delicious in the kitchen.
- Destinations of a Lifetime: Hundreds of the most breathtaking locales are pictured with images taken by the organization’s world-class photographers. Conversation, or list building for places to see and visit, you need it.
