Army Green for Spring

I don’t know if it’s because St. Patrick’s Day was last week, or if I just love it, but I’ve been drawn to everything green lately. But not all greens, mostly the deep olive, “army” green. When I was in college I bought something similar to this and it has easily become one of the most worn items in my closet. I throw it over everything throughout summer, spring and fall. It’s the perfect layering piece and the green goes with everything. Honestly, one of my favorite combos with army green besides other neutrals is hot pink. It’s an unlikely combo, but looks really good together in my opinion! I wish my legs were long enough to wear these, but obviously that isn’t the case.

I read in a magazine the other day that army green was hot for spring…who decides this stuff anyway? Regardless, I think it’s a great color to stock up on because it goes with so much. I want to be the person that decides what trends come in and out each season. That person(s) is powerful. Can you even imagine? I don’t even have the power to tell my dog not to bark at squirrels, let along decide what trends and colors are in- I mean, that’s a lot of pressure. Do you think the people that decide always shy away from colors they don’t like? For example, I hate the color orange, it looks terrible on me, so if I ruled the trends, orange would never be my color. Ahh to dream.
