Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins

Pencil Skirt and Chambray

March 4, 2016

Chambray and Pencil Skirt Outfit

Skirt / Top / Necklace c/o (similar) / Shoes / Bag / Bracelets 1, 2, 3 / Sunglasses / Shoes

I’ve worn this skirt here before and it’s quickly becoming one of those skirts I throw on when I need to look put together without being uncomfortable. I think I mentioned before it’s a little stretchy, so it’s super comfortable whether you’re dressed up in a pencil skirt and chambray or down in converse sneakers and a tee (how cute is that pairing?). Almost everything I buy now a days has to be able to be worn both ways – day, night and work appropriate items that is. If it can fit into all three categories and I love it, then it’s sold. I’m working to build a capsule wardrobe, although I’m not sure it will ever be whittled down to just 30 items…I’m too worries I’ll need my acid wash jeans for an 80’s party or something. Do you have a problem getting rid of clothing like I do? I always think, “well, I could wear that to….” But I’m trying, I really am.

After taking photos in front of this gorgeous wooden door, I’m now suddenly married to the idea of trying the restaurant behind it. Then I checked out the menu and realized it’s one of those “special occasion” places. Do you have those on your list? I always joke with Aaron and say the three $$$ are special occasion places, but the $$ or $ places can be for a Friday or Saturday night date. He doesn’t buy it, he would probably eat at Chick Fil A everyday if I let him, and who am I kidding, I would too. I don’t even know if Durham has any $$$$ places, but I better be celebrating something BIG to go there I’m assuming. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am constantly trying to think of special occasions- you know our dog turned one, let’s celebrate. I got my oil changed without being reminded from Aaron 100 times, celebration time! The truth is though, I love food, so One in Meadowmont village is getting added to my list despite the numbers and despite my husband.

Have a good one friends, Aaron is on call this weekend, so much to his luck, I’ll probably be cooking or ordering pizza. But next weekend he’s off, so I have plenty of time to think of a great special occasion before then.

Have a great/safe one!
