Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins

Floral Maxi

April 27, 2016

Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins

Dress / Sunglasses / Earrings / Shoes / Bracelet 1, 2,ย  3

This dress. I wore it for my birthday out with gal pals and it’s just beautiful. The movement, the comfort…all the things. Plus it’s a floral maxi, how could it be wrong? I know “short” girls shouldn’t wear maxis supposedly, but you guys, they are my favorites. I love that you don’t have to worry about having one of these moments– and if you sit down, your legs don’t stick to the chair in the summer (you know what I’m talking about ๐Ÿ™‚ ). Speaking of “these moments” as I was writing that, I just realized I’ve never seen any of her movies. Any good ones I should add to my list?

I should also mention that while this dress looks sheer, it does have a built in slip which prevents any peek-a-booing (always a plus). On a completely unreleated note,ย  I have been trying to cut dairy out of my diet and the struggle is real y’all. Aaron and I have been eating Whole30 like, without really being on Whole30 if that make sense and it’s killing me. Thank goodness for Larabars and even those aren’t recommended! What do people eat on this diet? Honestly, we’re not actually “doing’ the Whole30, but we are trying to follow the food plan knowing that wine and some other cheat meals are bound to happen throughout. We more or less want to make a lifestyle change- I would love to stop eating/craving sweets and I really need to drop a little weight I’ve gained since moving to NC. The Southern food is.just.so.good. WHY!? ๐Ÿ™ Regardless, if you’ve done Whole30, or even eat Paleo, I’d love to know your favorite recipes and meals. Thanks in advance!

Have a good one friends.

I eat mostly paleo. I follow zone and do zone paleo.
I drink almond milk from silk vanilla unsweetened. I shop at Costco- they have organic beef, chicken, organic frozen fruit, organic eggs, silk unsweetened almond milk, organic frozen veggies. Smaller items I get at Trader Joes and Sprouts.

Trying the same lifestyle change around here with trying to eat Whole30/Paleo/Gluten-Free. We’re trying to implement it with our kids as well and that’s a real kicker…OMG! Have a great day ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi Amy. Thanks for stopping by and linking up with me today. Your floral maxi dress is so pretty and girl you look tall to me. Lovely Spring look.

Good luck with your new diet, too. While I don’t necessarily do diets, I kind of watch what I eat and try to eat healthy. Lots of salads, fresh fruits and vegetables for me and natural 100% juices.

    Enjoy your weekend! Ada. =)

Such a lovely dress. It looks wonderful on you. The print and color scheme is so different from what you normally see on a springtime maxi. Plus it has sleeves. Swoon worthy.

My favorite Marilyn Monroe movie is Some Like It Hot. You should definitely add it to your list if it’s not already.

I’m totally obsessed with this dress + those sunnies!! I was in Nashville a couple of weekends back for a shoot, and I left mine that look just like those sitting at a coffee shop …
