After that weekend (did you catch it on snapchat?), I’m so sleepy and actually glad it’s a boring Monday. We spent yesterday in the sunshine and at something in Durham called “The Turtle Hole”. It basically took me back to my childhood of running around barefoot, chasing fireflys and getting one million mosquito bites. I feel like a need another weekend just to sleep in.
We shot these pics in Chicago two weeks ago for my brother in laws residency graduation. He is a surgeon and they just moved to Texas for his fellowship. What an adventure! Aaron and I are staying in Durham for another year for fellowship, had I mentioned that? Anyway, I love this eyelet dress. I need to get the straps altered a little, but I honestly think it’s the perfect dress for summer. I’ve already worn it with flats, heels, a jean jacket, etc. It defeinitely fits my new rule, “Must be able to wear three different ways before purchasing.” I think I’ve worn it four, so I’m winning at this dress so far.
Saturday night Aaron moonlite, so I hung with Lauren for a bit and then came home to the pups and some me time. However, I had the most bizarre night. At about 1 AM, my phone rang from a Cincy number and they asked for Amy. Obviously, I’m Amy. They proceeded to ask if I was sleeping, etc. To say I was freaked is an understatement. I think it turned out it was a wrong number when he finally asked why I left the wedding so early, but wowza, how ironic that some guy was calling a different Amy at the same time I was home alone. We have an alarm system, but I am such a chicken, I woke up about every half hour and was so sleepy Sunday morning that I crawled back into bed when Aaron came home to sleep night shift off. I tend to think of the worst in time like that, so I just imagined someone busting into my bedroom and well…ya know (killing me). Terrifying. I think I have the imagination of a five year old. When the dogs stare off into space, I always tell Aaron they are watching the ghosts in our house. I mean, who does that? Do you ever freak yourself out?
Here is to the biggest mug of coffee in all the land and a peaceful nights sleep without strange guys calling at 1 AM. Don’t they know I never leave weddings until the dance party stops?
Have a good one friends and thanks for reading as always! 🙂

This dress is so pretty, and I love your earrings! I totally feel you about freaking out, our alarm went off once for no reason in the middle of the night and I couldn’t sleep for days.
