It’s pool timmmmmeeeee. I may not have my “summer body” in check, but I definitely have the items needed for a great pool day. I may or may not have already purchased this and Aaron is definitely starting to think I have an addiction to pool floats. But, they are soo fun. Whoever invented pool floats deserves a medal, they are seriously the best of both worlds, half in and half out. Plus, you can just lay limp like a sloth as you float around it’s just so peaceful. Anyway, here are some items you need with you to ensure your day at the pool is a total success.

1. Floats. I’m kind of obsessed with this one. We had this one when we were younger and we would always try to knock each other off. The handles on it are intense!
2. Swell Bottle. Whether you’re filling it with water or booze, it keeps your drinks cold for up to 24hr. I have the large size one and I love it.
3. A great cover up that can take you from the pool to tacos after. Literally, that’s what I did this weekend. Pool. Tacos. Boom.
4. A giant beach bag to throw everything into. Bonus points if it’s adorable.
5. This book is on my summer read list. Have any other good recommendations?
6. A great pair of sandals. I’ve held out buying some pom pom sandals because everyone and their mom has them. But they are so cute, so I just might cave.
7. Sunglasses. Don’t forget them, or you may be miserable. I love these Quay mirrored ones.
8. Bathing Suit. I know, duh. How adorable is this one piece?
9. Don’t forget the accessories. I mean, is this absolutely needed? No. But, cute bathing suits, shoes and cover ups need cute accessories. Plus, think of all those Instagram photos you’ll be taking.
10. Sunscreen. I love this brand and skin cancer is no joke. So make sure you lather up and do it frequently.
11. Lastly, don’t forget a towel.

My goal for the summer is to soak up as much pool time as possible, last year I felt like I only went once and that not only left me very pale, but sad too. Don’t be sad and pale this summer.
