If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you know I work in Corporate Communication by day. Our office is a worldwide HQ, but the dress code is pretty lax. It’s supposed to be business casual, but there are a ton of rule breakers. Depending on what’s on my plate for the day, I will push the code a bit, or strictly follow it, but on Thursdays and Fridays, I typically dress pretty casually. I love these wide leg trousers because while they aren’t “business casual” they are still professional/nice looking and when I wear them with heels I still feel put together. I’ve also worn them higher on my torso and worn them with flats which I love. I love a good pair of high waist pants that tuck all the tummy in! ๐ I honestly don’t typically even try these types of things on since I’m short and I fear they swallow me, but these were styled on the mannequin and I thought, “meh, why not.”
I’ve been wearing these shoes non stop because they are way more comfortable than these (which I also wear a ton). The stacked heel is honestly great for any occasion. I love that. I am all about more bang/wear for your buck.
Wanna know something, these flowers and bees are new to this side of the building. Can anyone guess why? Bueller?
So, Burt’s Bees HQ is actually located in downtown Durham. They recently added these murals which I love (I am a sucker for wall murals, especially if it’s cute bees and pretty flowers). Bees are so important to our environment, plus, I am a huge fan of Burt’s Bees products (especially their chapstick, my fav!). Anyway, I just think it’s cool they are based here. On the outside of the front doors there is a bee hive in the wall and you can see them building, moving, etc. It’s actually really cool.
Have a great day friends! Always remember to “bee” yourself ๐
