What is it about clothing with food on it that draws us in? I keep seeing the cutest items this summer and practically want them all, but then I have to remind myself that I wont want to wear a pizza shirt forever. But, I will admit, I’ve treated myself to a few cute items, including this lemon skirt. I feel like I have this weird infatuation with lemons and pineapples. They are all over our house in our decor and I’m beginning to think my husband thinks I need help. You know this scene? Well, sadly that’s not me. I never run out of lemons because I buy them in bulk and then they shrivel and die because I don’t use them. I don’t meant to do it on purpose…it just kind of well, happens. But you know what? Lemons on clothing never shrivel! Small victories!
You’ve probably noticed that I’ve been wearing this shoes all summer, all the time. I love them and I want to buy them in every color. They has a leopard version now and #hearteyes. I must refrain and I hate that.
On another note, last night Aaron told me I talk about Friday too much on my blog. He said I literally talk about the upcoming weekend in every post. Is that true? If so, I’m sorry, but who doesn’t love the weekend? It’s odd he mentioned it last night because Tuesday I had a man at work in his late 70s tell me never to wish 5/7 of your life away. I’ve been thinking a lot about that. Working+blogging+”life-ing” is really hard some days. I often feel like I need about five more hours in the day and just three of those should be allotted for sleep. It’s easy to wish Monday-Friday away and just want to be carefree on the weekends, but when I take a step back and really evaluate, I know that I am so fortunate to be in this position in my life- able to blog and work and have a home to come home to and even to have food in my belly. Sometimes it’s the small things for real, why is it SO hard to remember that 24/7? If you have any tips for keeping yourself in check, I’d love to know, I think we can all use a little reality check reminder from time to time.
Have a great day friends. It might only be Thursday, but it’s another day to celebrate this life we’ve been given. Cheers!

I am with you on the Pineapple decorations! I recently purchased a tumbler and my husband says “we already have one of those” which I reply “that one is a candle, this is something to drink out of”. LOL. I also have a big bowl of lemons and limes, however I use mine. Like in everything!
As for staying in check. I live each day to the fullest and don’t wait or wish for a different day to seize. I guess loosing my dad so early helped me slow down and appreciate each day. Yes some days it’s the old hum drum but in general I do my best to enjoy it. If there’s a store I want to visit I don’t wait, I go. Even if I don’t purchase anything.
