How was everyone’s weekend? Ours was super quick (but aren’t they always?). Aaron is off almost every weekend in August which is cray cray, so we took full advantage hanging out with friends, walking the dogs and trying a new place to eat. If you’re local and haven’t been here, you should go! Such good BBQ. In Ohio, we have what they call “Western bbq” which is ketchup based, and here in NC, the bbq is “Eastern” which is vinegar and a little tangy. They take their BBQ seriously down here!
I can tell you, I probably wouldn’t eat BBQ in this look. Anywho, have you ever lost an earring because of the back falling off? Yea, me too. I recently lost one of these earrings and I am SO sad. I literally wore them ALL the time and now I have 1…NEAT! Someone needs to invent an earring replacement company, where you can buy only one earring. Until then, I am so happy Chrysmela asked me to review the Chrysmela Catch Earring Lock, your solution to locking earring backs. I was pumped because they are amazing and since using them I haven’t lost a single earring. People magazine literally called it “the most genius jewelry invention ever” and as far as women’s accessories go, I have to agree. Not only do they come in adorable colors, but they work. They “lock in” and your earrings are safe and sound. I can’t tell you how many times my David Yurman earrings have lost a back, almost slipped off, etc. and while I don’t have any huge bling earrings (hint I need some big diamond one Aaron), losing one always still sucks.
I also love that it’s not some big time consuming process to locking your earring backs: you simply slide onto the earring post, round end first, just as you would insert a regular earring back. It locks automatically. To remove earrings you hook your fingernail under the end-disk to unlock, and gently pull straight from the post. Easy as pie and saving a few bucks to not have to replace every pair you wear. Let’s face it, earring backs suck, but not these. It may seem like a pretty penny to pay for a back, but honestly, think of all the earrings you’ve lost and these are 24K so they wont bother your skin.
And if you just want a giggle because it’s Wednesday and we’re halfway through the week, Real Simple called the backs “our Favorite Japanese Import Since Sushi!” Now I want some sushi!
Have a good one friends and don’t forget to check out Chrysmela– your solution to locking earring backs. Your earrings will thank you! And speaking of thanking, thanks for reading as always. You all make this the best job in the world.
