Off Shoulder Striped Dress

I think one of the best things about being a blogger is finding boutiques and small shops that I probably would have never known about otherwise. And when I find one that’s good quality, reasonably priced great items to choose from, I love sharing it with readers so they can be “in the know” as well. This off the shoulder striped dress Pink Lily dress is from one of those boutiques worth sharing. As you know, I recently went to Charleston for a bachelorette party and one night we were supposed to dress “preppy”. Do ya’ll do that? My coworker is Southern and said the thing down here to do it wear matching tee shirts (yes?), but in the Midwest, we typically decide on a theme and dress in a certain manner for the weekend. For mine, we did black dresses one night (I wore white) and then the second night we had a Great Gatsby theme. For Megan’s we did the black dresses and then the other night we did the whole “preppy” thing, when in Charleston, am I right? Anyway, this dress was a hit among st my friends who all argued over wearing it. It is the best of all things: off the shoulder, striped, comfy enough to eat a large meal in. J

Being the good friend I am J I let my gf wear it for the night and I wore this, but the following weekend Lauren and I met up for a day of girl time and I wore it to brunch. Dresses like this are honestly some of my favorites because you can still feel put together and still wear flats. I actually prefer shorter dresses with flats because I hate my legs, but it looks adorable with heels too. In fact, in Charleston, Misti wore it with layered pearls and heels.

Aaron and I are absolutely loving St. Lucia. Luckily I had a window seat on the flight in and the water across the ocean was some of the bluest I’ve ever seen. That’s part of the reason we decided to come here, I told Aaron I wanted to see the “really pretty blue water”.  The only thing I am not loving is knowing that Monday always comes creepin’ around and vacation can’t last forever. I really need to win the lottery! But in all seriousness, I’m trying to soak up the rays, drink up the frozen drinks and enjoy this uninterrupted time with Aaron (remember this post?).
