There is no denying that my life is busy (aren’t we all?). Between going to work for 40+ hours a week and running this blog, which is one of my greatest joys, finding time to breath can be challenging. As you all know, Aaron is a resident, which means he works….A LOT. I am so thankful for what he does, but it also means often times the dogs, house, errands, etc. also fall on my plate. I am so lucky to have a partner that’s willing to help vacuum and pick up sour cream from the grocery store when needed, but sometimes he can’t. Simple as that. There are research studies to be studied and patients that need him, many times more than I need him. It’s the life we both signed up for and I wouldn’t have it any other way, but sometimes I carry the weight of the our world on my shoulders.

I’d like to think I have mastered getting tasks done and shopping for versatile items. This includes great clothing pieces like a great pair of white jeans, comfortable shoes (like these) and this Trovata dress that easily take me from work to play and it also includes shopping at great places like Walgreens where I can pick up anything I need from mascara (my fav is here) to my favorite Starbucks drink. Every once in a while though, I’m thrown for a loop. Recently when I was picking up a Starbucks Refreshers® revitalizing energy (one of my favs for on the go), I noticed they had two new flavors – Black Cherry Limeade and Peach Passion Fruit! Talk about mixing up my life! I like routines people! But now two flavors involve coconut water! #sold. I love coconut water. When we were in St. Lucia, I quickly became friends with the men who would cut down fresh coconuts #besties. Aaron isn’t really a fan of coconut water, but he even likes the Starbucks Refreshers® drinks (he’s obsessed with all the flavors). Someone on vacation even told me that coconut water is more hydrating than regular H₂O. I don’t know if that’s true, but it sounds good to me, so I’m rolling with it.

I’ve been trying to drink less coffee and these are a great option because they give me a small boost of energy for my busy life, have a bit of sparkly goodness and have no artificial flavors or colorings. I’ve found myself reaching for these in lieu of coffee, now only to up my water intake as I decrease my coffee intake. Or maybe I should work on less wine. 🙂
